Received his B.S. in Computer Science from FIU in 1992, is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Sciences at the University of California at Berkeley, where he conducts research in the area of computer graphics. He is the 2006 FIU Torch Award recipient as well as winning honors in Time Magizine, Technology Review and SIGGraph.
Is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Colorado School of Mines. Her research intrests are in computer sciences education, students' cognition and learning styles, instructional software, and educational technologies. Polycarpou recived her BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Florida International University in 2002, 2004 and 2008, respectively.
Received a B.S. with High Honors in Computer Science from FIU in 1984. Mr. Bales founded Friendly Software which developed the leading golfing video game program in the late 1990s. The program was sold to Microsoft, and became Microsoft Golf.
Tariq King is a Software Test Architect at Ultimate Software. He holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from Florida International University (FIU), where he specialized in software testing of autonomic and adaptive systems. He also holds a Masters in Computer Science from FIU, and a B.S in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology. Tariq has published several research articles in the field of software testing, and developed a number of testing tools, frameworks and prototypes. In his role at Ultimate, he provides technical leadership and strategic direction in software testing across the organization.
